It is always good to earn extra cash, that why a seasonal job for some people is not an opportunity to hone their working skills, but a must.  First of all you will make money that will come handy when doing shopping for the holidays.  It would also help you with gas prices and grocery bills.  The BLS or Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that the mean hourly wage fo a salesperson is close to $12.00.
But fortunatelly this is not it.  Do not forget of countless discounts in the stores, honing social skills, and creating a web of network associates.
You can even turn your part-time job into a full blown position.  Employers use holidays as an opportunity to attract new talent.

Many people thinking about one thing when can't find a job? Why I have not receiving specific job, even after

applied to numerous jobs, been to countless interviews and improve your resume? What gives?

Have you ever wonder and consider you as a mistake? It is hard concept that most job seeker

have trouble wrapping their heads around, but applicants frequently inadvertently raise red

flags to interviewers that immediately  saying” why should I hire him”, but it might not be

entirely your fault.  You should learn mistake that you made during your interview process.
First thing is to make sure to add contact information on your resume, after you have

crafted your resume, you have highlight relevant skills and accomplishments that are in

line with the position for which you are applying and hiring manager have no way to get in

touch with you because you have miss to provide a home address, phone number or e-mail

address? This is a red flag on your resume because employer doesn’t have any way to contact

you and remember employer will not do a background research to find you.
You should take care of gaps between jobs on your resume. If you have working as a part

time employee for XYZ Company you should attach this to your resume. Anytime you have more

than a tree month gap of idleness on your resume, legitimate or otherwise, be prepared to

explain this situation to your hiring manager or interviewer.
The most important aspect and is a big red flag is when a job applicant come unprepared for

interview. You should researched company, you should have at least 3 question prepared, in

case a hiring manager asking you “ Do you have any question to me” you should ask at least

1 question that is important for you, if you don’t ask any question a hiring manager may

thing that you are not interesting in a  job position. You should simple do your homework

before an interview, explore the company online, prepare answers to questions and have

someone give you a mock interview. The more prepare you are the more hiring manager or

employer will take you seriously and the more changes you have to you will get this job.
Important Red flag is when job seeker doesn’t provide any references on an application. By

omitting references in your application, employers could infer that you don't know anyone

who has any positive things to say about you with is of course not true.
You should never talk about your previous employment any negative things. We all know how

tempting it is to want to tell anyone who will listen how much bad your old boss was, you

should remember that a hiring manager is not appropriate person to listen because you may

thing the same thing about your futures job.
Last important aspect is your job history. If you have held five different jobs in the past

six months it only indicates that you don’t want to stay with one company for a long run.

Job hopping is a new trend in the working world, most job applicant don’t want to staying

in a job for 15-20 years, Job Applicant  mostly stay for a couple of months and move on the

next one. While such as tactic can further you career, switching jobs too often will raise

a prospective employer dilemma whether to hire and training you or not.

Many companies consider interview as a business meeting were job seeker meet with a potential employer and discuss job position, description of a job, salary, benefits, etc together to accomplish one goal hire a good employee. Employer or hiring manager is not looking to hire just anyone who is on line for job position, they want to hire a candidate who can do the job and connect with others in the workplace. Therefore it   is not enough for job seekers to highlight their skills, knowledge and general experience. They must be able to create connection and have something in common. During a interview, you will be judged on tree different dimension such as connection, competency and compensation. The first dimension is connection is very crucial. You will have to connect with the company’s mission, it people and it client. Not many people have an enough time to connect with interviewers, who are often complete strangers to them. We should learn how to overcome this common obstacle and quickly create connection between themselves and interviewers.
How to get started?
Share Commonalities , discuss your passion for your field or enthusiasm for new product or services, as well as personal commonalities such as family, recreational activity, sport, hobbies , similar interest , not only relating to job but what you like to do in your lifetime.
Second thing is to listen very careful what interviewer is say and respond to their question. You also should silence your tongue and hold your judgment and open your mind because this may cause rejection job offer. If you have something to say that may cause wrong judgment about you as a job seeker you should not say anything.
Respond well, when you responding to question you should not forget about a reason why you are there, you are job seeker, looking for a job, and a interviewer or a hiring manager have a job offer for you so you need to respond what they need to know about yourself, remember also be objective, engage the interviewer, share succinctly don’t just go ahead and talk about your salary and benefit. If you receive job offer ask your hiring manager for benefit, salary, vacation and sick day, and insurance coverage etc.
The most important aspect in interview is your temperament about a job; you should act an interview, even for a job that isn’t perfect for you. Will put you on the radar screen of those who can help you in the future, simple saying it may give you a good reference in the same company for different department or different position.

If you have working for your company for a lot of years then you should ask your boss to

increase your paycheck, but how should get started? This question left unresolved for many

years and a lot of job applicant don’t know how to ask their boss about raise in their

paycheck. Many people work for company for many years without even asking boss about

paycheck because they are scary that they will be simple fired because employee will find

better employee will less pay. This is not true anymore if you are good employee and work

hard for a company and your boss see that you put effort to those companies so you should

not get fired, and you should receive paycheck raise. If you don’t asking your boss about

paycheck raise so how can your boss know that you really need to raise your paycheck? You

may think that your boss should be aware of economy problem and recession and should raise

all employee paycheck this is what most employee thing about. In the past job salary

becomes even less important than it is now with a current economy condition. A lot of job

seekers making a major career change or jump in order to find a dream job and this is true

because employer wish to hire talent not just job labor. Employer as well employee are

interested in salary information for any number of reasons, but the biggest one is the fast

that knowledge is power in job hunting if you know where to search then you will know how

much you may ask for your paycheck to raise. Employer who knows your salary history and

salary requirements has power over you when it comes to making you a job offer because they

exactly know how much they can offer you to retain you in his company. Many job applicant

don’t submit information about previous salary and current boss may not know how much you

have earning in previous job but this is no problem to check because employer may call

previous employer and ask about previous salary and most previous employer will tell this

because it is not confidential anymore because this person is no longer working for this

company. So how can employee check how much they can earn a year on specific job on

specific function? The best to find out this is to visit salary.com and check specific job

description and find out how much you will earn a year. A lot of employers don’t give the

same amount as they want employee to work for less to save money in company package. The

offer you better benefits but less salary and the benefit its pay by corporation so

independence franchise don’t have to pay any dime on you for your work. When you making

decision about your paycheck rise you should take consideration about what you have

accomplish in previous year that a boss should give you rise in your paycheck

When you are looking for a job, you should consider visiting career fair center as you may find your dream job there. Career fairs can range from real life multi employer events to online job fairs depend how many employer wish to participate. As you know if you attend to job fair you may be able to meet directly with hiring manager at convenient location such as hotel, your local school or community, mostly and usually is a large hotel or conference center. Attending to a job fair will not only give you a change to meet with representatives from a variety of companies but also will help you establish relationship with your new employer. You should be prepared very well on your job fair. Remember that company representative may provide you important information about particular job include description so you should listen very carefully and answer to any question that they may have. You should write detail about specific company do online research and ask friend and family if they know those companies and how this company operates! So how to find a job fair, you need to Google it like most employer is saying when you want to find a local career fair fist what you have to do is look online, go to department of labor and visit web site such as CareerBuilder, monster, jobseeker and other job board.  You need to know that job fairs can be overwhelming with many people waiting to see the same employer so you should be prepared that you will compete with other people for the same position, on-the-spot interviewing, noise and sometimes confusion. However, they can be a valuable tool and a good way to meet company representatives face-to-face. You should take care of yourself before employer will see you that the reason I would like to share few things with you about preparation process. First you need to wear comfortable shoes because lines are frequently long and you will be waiting for long period of time and walking a lot. Second thing is you need to dress professionally as employer want to see you in attire dress. Wear professional clothes, style your hair conservatively, and ladies should wear minimal make up. You should bring a lot of resumes, because it is better to have much more resumed than not have enough. Take portfolio or a briefcase to hold resumes and corporate literature. When employer is asking tell me about yourself you don’t tell I have new dress and I have bought new shoes just to walk here, employer is asking what you can bring to the company. As you know you can’t be late for job fair, even 1 minute because it indicated that you are late person. Networking it is very important you need to speak with each employee and smile if employer sees that you have nice smile on your face then they will say that you are nice person. They don’t like people with bad attitude. Shake hand- when you few feet away from employer raise your hand in order to make a handshake, without handshake employer thing that you don’t want to establish relationship with him and you ignore him. Research about company before you even visit career fair because employer will ask you this question what you know about our company. They want to know if you came prepared for job fair or not. Remember that you compete with many difference candidate so you should be prepared well for job fair otherwise you will lost your job opportunism and the next job fair will be in next 3 month..

altWhen you write your resume for a job or cover letter you need to remember about format, objective, education and what you expect from employer. Your resume and cover letter need to be neat and showing exactly what you need and what your requirement and of course what you can offer to your employer. First what you have to do to get started is to developing a resume format, a resume is an individual statement about you, so not two will look alike. You are free to vary your style, format, headings, topics and layout. There is , however, certain information that should be included in every resume and remember don’t send the same resume and cover letter to every positional employer because if you do so then employer will see that you are job hunter looking for a job not job opportunism and business development! Employer is looking for bride person who can show what he or she can do to help business grown. They are not looking for labor who only work for paycheck and don’t care about company value.  In your resume you should first provide your name, address, city , state, zip, phone number, and e-mail don’t make mistake and use corporate e-mail if you still working for a corporation and looking for new opportunity. If you have both a home and campus address (you are student) , put your name only, centered at the top, your school address below to the left, your home address to the right. Include a number where you can be reached or a message can be left during the day and of course don’t forget about your e-mail as in those kind of economy employer is looking to spend less time communicating with you. Second thing is Job objective what position is you looking for you can’t say I am looking for financial position in financial field; you need to specify your position because it is very important if you don’t specify your position your employer will put your resume and cover letter to garbage can. So short statements answering the question what type of position are you seeking, best objectives are brief, stating either a particular job title, skills, you wish to use on the job or both. Next is Education, in most cases, for college students and career change, this section follows the job objective.  After you put your education you need to mention relevant job you have done and honors scholarships you have receive and of course what your skills are. The most important aspect you should consider is Experience Employer love to know where and how long have your works in your previous job.  Before you begin writing this very important section, decide how many of your jobs you wish to include. If you have many part- time or short term jobs, plus some full time experience, consider leaving out some of the part time jobs.  When you have space on your resume you may include volunteer work experience remember to include in any experience sections where appropriate. Use the same format you would use for a paid job.  If you have been serving in military services include those as this is very important.  Last thing what you should put on your resume is activities and interest. The purpose of this section is to show an employer you are well rounded individual with interests outside of work. Employers often use this information as a conversational ice-breaker at the interview.

altMaking impression on interview is hard way to achieve we all need to learn those from basic in order to understand business environment. It doesn’t matter what position you are applying for what will be your title and responsibility, what is matter is your professional appearance, and how you will dealing with environment. First when you are on interview what should you do to impress your employer shake hands and smile and dress professionally. So many applicants of all ages, by the way are so nervous about the interview that they look frozen. A smile shows a positive and enthusiasm. This doesn’t mean that you grin from ear to ear the whole time-just be natural. Remind yourself that an employer is just another person doing his job! Be yourself and treat him as you would a friend of the family that you don’t know very well’ polite, friendly and be responsive. Responsiveness is very important in all kind of job environment. As you greet the employer, make eye contact, smile and shake hands. Many young people think they are too young to shake hands and this is a big mistake as people all the time shaking a hand. If you shake a hand to your employer and you are young it shows that you are maturity. It is part of how normal business people behave and the employer will take you more seriously. You should not loose eyes contact and look in the eyes of employer. Don’t look around office just skim one time office to see where are you located and look in the front of employer eyes, employer then don’t lie to you when it time to do a business. Remember shake hands with both men and women. If you need to practice how to shake hand you should ask your friend to do so or a person that working in business environment. The handshake should be firm, not limp, yet should not crush the other person’s hand. Additionally, grasp the person’s whole hand, not just the fingers and finally, the handshake should be the traditional one.  Many people making big mistakes on interview process because they don’t asking question. Employer says that many job candidates never ask any questions at an interview, so they come across as uninterested. You may be shy or nervous, but you need to have couple of questions if you want to appear interested. Try to asking that question
• What would my job responsibilities be?
• What kind of training will I receive?
• Who will be training me?
• Could I take on new tasks as I get more comfortable with the job?
• Are there opportunities for me to move up?
• Who would I be working for remember to get a name and phone number in case you have a question to them about your work environment
• Could I take on new tasks as I get more comfortable with the job?
• Is this job steady and are there opportunities for me to move up?
• Who would I be working for you or is there any other manager or who will I assist to?
• What do you think makes someone a successful employee here?
• If I have ideas, can I bring them up?
Employer may be answering some of the questions you had planned to ask but there is one question you can always ask which employer will be pleased to answer “ what should I do that will make me a successful employee here on your office ?

First, when you looking for a job what should you do? Find a job that is a basic question

but how to find a good job fast and in efficient way? Many people think that if they submit

application for a job, online, via fax or just call to employer directly they will be

successful in finding good job, but this is not that case, many people fail to find job

because they are not prepared. In this kind of economy we need to prepare our self before

first interview, all we know that we need to sell own self to future employer. Employer

looking for good employee as marketing tools, if you don’t know how to marketing yourself

then you will not find a good employer. Many people just turned job application at several

stores, malls and other business around town and waiting for respond from employer and in

reality 95% employer will not even call you because they have thousands of other applicants

to interview. Many people may now thing so how to get around a crown? It is easy you have

60 second to make impression on employer eyes. If you don’t make impression in employer

eyes in those time period your resume will be destroyed by shredder. Employer don’t have

time to look at each of resume that they receive  .Employer match resume with requirement

and skills as well how long job candidate will have to drive in order to be at work on

time.  Distance from home to work is very important for employer  because let say it is

winter and a weather outside is bad, snow wind  and storm how can you drive 30 miles from

home to work in those kind of weather? It is impossible for you to even move from home so

that the reason employer wants to have local candidate. If you want to work for big company

such as Chase Bank, Bank of America, Capital one (one of those financial company) then you

should take care of time frame because those bank doesn’t care that you are late. When you

are late first time they will give you warming, and on second time they will give you

another warming in writing and in 3rd time they will fired you as a result of braking

company policy. Tardiness is unexpected in huge company.  So let get back to job search

first you need to visit company web site and find a tabs where it say career most of the

time those tabs is next to about us, so it will be easy for you to find it, once you find a

career site, you need to read in detail what is the requirement for a job and qualification

as well salary, bonus, and benefit the reason I mention this is many people don’t even know

when they want to work and what they want to do. Many people just seeking entry-level

position for a job so people don’t even care where they will work and what will they do.

The best think is to first find what you want in your life and where do you see yourself in

the next 20 years. What degree you have finished and what you have accomplished in your

life. Those factors will help you determine what career you should choose.  You should also

visit site such as career builder, job search, the best thing is to visit Google and type

keyword job portal, or job search, and there will be about few thousand references where

you can find the best job for you.  Ask your friend if they know if there is any position

available in their job, employee referral is the best in eye of hiring manager.  Ask family

member or family friends if they know if there is any job available in the field you want

to work with. Don’t be shy when searching a job you should also register yourself in state

of your residence so your local department of labor can help you finding the best job. So

in conclusion you should look at company web site for a job, then ask your friend if they

know if there is any job available, then go online and search on job portal for a job, then

read newspapers, classified ads, as well help ads this will help you find the best job.

First as you know first impression is very important and is determine whether you will

receive a job or not. This is not only one factor that will determine your job eligibility

but it is one factor that will help you getting job.  You should not shock employer with

your appearance because he may think of this customers or client as being shocked too.

Walking in with two inch nails, or flip flop sandals or a nose ring, or clingy short

clothing or any other not proper clothing or peers may disqualify for job position as most

business require “quality appearance” Employer may thing that you are more taking care of

yourself that you will taking care of your client that the reason employer don’t wish to

see employee in those kind of situation. From my point of view most clothes that are neat,

modest and clean are acceptable, there are some very clear don’t that you should take care

when walking on interview. You should never wear those items
• Clothes that have a printed logo, picture or phrase including sports teams as this

make you look less professional as employer may not like sports
• T-shorts, tank tops, sweats or shorts or mini short or any kind of improper t-shirt
• Shoes with cleats, flip-flops or other footwear more appropriate for the beach as

employer think you taking care more about your entertainment that taking care of your

business
• Hats indoors or clothes that are sexually revealing as you need to take care of

client not making them look at you and feel bad
• Formal wear-dressy gowns , tux jackets , hot pant as you don’t want your employer

think that you are kids
You can increase your confidence by going to work place a day or two before the interview

to see what people there really wear. Men should wear
•  a shirt with a collar
• Long pants, but not jeans and clean street shoes
• Jacket and tie, if the job you want requires them but most of the job not require

depend on employer needs
As women, you will certainly be dressed correctly in
• A blouse and skit or long pants
• A simple , neat dress or suit
• Good street shoes with heels that are not too high
• Some employer prefer long pants and lean t-shirt depend on work you do
For both male and females, hair needs to be clean and kept under control-keep it out of

your care and if you have long hair, keep it tied back. You should be very careful about

exceptions some music stores for example don’t mind unusual or exotic or extreme

appearances it all depend where you want to work and what your work environment.
