Default Tax Breaks For Corporation? - 05-27-2008

I've worked on film sets with a lot of other self-employed people, and many of them are paid through their corporations. My understanding is that they pay much less tax over the year because of this, although they may be taxed at a high rate, and then receive considerable refunds.

Does anybody here arrange to be paid through a corporation like this?

Even I can’t help you in this regard. But I am unable to understand how they get refunds on their taxes.

U.S. Corporations That Pay No Taxes Still Get Tax Breaks I don't understand Uncle Sam strategy!. In a survey, Nearly one-third of the nation’s largest and most profitable corporations paid no federal income tax between 2001 and 2003—yet still received billions of dollars in tax rebates, why they have receive so much in tax rebate?

It seems corporations always getting the biggest breaks and pay very little in tax. Does not seem very fair if you ask me.

I'm not sure how the person would benefit but rather the company. They are so many laws dealing with tax breaks alone for bussiness and even more for larger companies.Even the average person can deduct taxes for a home office as long as it fits the guidelines.Through that you also get deductions on phone, electricity and all.I don't think it would be much different for larger companies.Other then a higher percentage back.

Its the same way with people that make more. They generally make out better then middle class people due to be taxed more at once versus over a longer period at a smaller rate.It equals out to the middle class paying more in the long run.
