Can a will reduce estate taxes?

Default Estate Tax Law - 12-04-2007

A will alone does not necessarily reduce Federal Estate Tax. However, as such taxes begin at 35% and reach 45% in 2008-2010 and are the highes in the federal tax arsenal, estate planning can often take advantage of tax avoidance techinques that would not be available to your family if you die witout a will.
