Default Retirement age - 05-19-2008

My friend retire in about 15 years,what will be retire age in 15 years? I know that most folks, can retire at age 67.5 some at 62.5 depend on health condition

I have decided to retire at 40-45. I then want to enjoy the life. I want to know what type of portfolio and investment should I have now. I am 29 Now

Probably aggressive, if you have left like 15 years to retire, I will strongly suggest get college education and earn financial degree they work for huge corporation and earn lot of money then reinvest those money and invest in liquid asset such as stock, bonds, mutual funds or stock futures

45 seems good to me .. you can start something related to a hobby after that .

Retiring completely at 45 will probably leave you a pauper by 60. The costs of living can vary wildly and several economies are going to be shifting away from petroleum as their base. Add to that the rising costs for food and you would need to find another full time job at 60.

It is wiser to consider how you will move into working part time, or for yourself, at 40 or 45. That way, you never really completely leave the workforce, giving you a marketable resume in an emergency.

It really depends on what country you live in and what sort of pension plan your job supplies. I wouldn't want to retire too early though.

I should say that the retiring age should be 60 and it should be universal. However, any one can retire and any time in the half way. But, no one should be allowed to go more than 60.

So far, i will never wait for that long to retired. I will retired before i reach 30 years old. Must do that and i want to enjoy my life.
