well it really doesnt matter how many places you look into before getting insurance or investing! 1st of all, if you discover the best then go for it, and it is good to take advice from seniors or family members who already have dealt with certain things..

If I want to buy Health, home or life Insurance or any kind of Insurance I usually get a quote from many different lender without providing my social security number so they will not put " inquire" on my credit report then compare and then I call Insurance agent and see if I qualify for discount because I always buy a bundle so Insurance company give me a good Insurance discount
If I purchase a house I always call few Real Estate agent and meet with them individually so other agent don't know that I have meet with other real estate agent and talk about house with I am interesting and they looking for me! so I don't have to spend money time and effort they spend money time effort plus resources
I research at the different places and then I will take an decision. I mean I will talk to the existing customers who are using the product. I will check out even with the competeters who are providing good facilities ot the customer.
well, i don't have a car, thats why i never checked any places...., but I thing about buying car insurance for my young sister so she can drive a car! what is the best place to check for insurance rate!

I always hire financial adviser if I need to get Insurance for me and for my family, as financial adviser have few options available, I uses to be financial adviser but I don't carry any license so I can't buy a product or services for myself.. I still need to use somebody product or services.. but I know with Insurance product is best for me!
