yes u are right the main problem is that the numbers coming from us market is very bad and the oil factor is also in a boom due to which the pricing of all things were hot and these may be same for the next 1 month.

I have a set amount for groceries. I try not to spend more than $75 a week but sometimes, like when my kids are out for summer, I go to $90. It's me, my husband, our 15 yr old son, 6 yr old girl and 3 yr old. Even after shaving off everything that we don't really need (we still get a little junk food for the kids) my food bill still seems extremely high. One thing I do is when I count up how much each food item is, is to round up. That way, if something has went up with out my knowing it, I can compensate for it. And once in a while, I come out of the store way below my limit.

I want to know how the heck you only spend $75.00 a week! I'm in shock. We have only me, my husband and our 17 month old daughter and we now spend almost $130.00 every week. Before we were only spending around $80.00.Then we had our daughter and when she needed formula and other baby items that added up.Now, we get less on baby items and still spend more.I know cost of living is different maybe thats why too.I cook with fresh veggies and we go through lots of fruit too but I noticed with inflation we are spending over 30.00 more a week.Worst part is I save over $20.00-$30.00 a week with our bonus card and coupons.

Default price is so expensive - 06-13-2008

grocerry price is so expensive in today's day . I went shopping on local Sam's club store and I spend over $300 dollar for just fruits, and basic items such as new t-shirt.. I think price is so expensive because of inflation dollar loosing it value so much from last 5 years!

Default high price as a result of recession - 06-13-2008

In general saying food price is expensive as well product and service price is going up drastically but our paycheck is still lower- and will be lower even if recession come more people will be fired from work because employer will not need any more people no new employee and currently employees will need to work harder in order to keep economy stimulated..

Well.. Never use your car to drive to a grocery store! You can then spend a lot on what you eat rather than what you fill!

Most places you need to drive to in the USA.You can't really make out otherwise unless you have a corner market and only need a few things.Enough to carry somewhere. We live in the suburbs we cant walk to a local store and carry all our groceries. So, it's a nice thought but not always possible in areas people live.
