Default Is their future all that rosy? - 06-29-2008

I have a feeling that between the mortgage crises, multiple financial institutions being bought out, and the fall of Enron, there are a whole lot of people who are going to reach retirement age, and not retire. This might not have been able to happen a decade ago because many jobs required the agility of youth for peak performance.

I see a situation developing, in the USA anyway, where the government may have to step in and either prevent businesses from laying off older workers or subsidize a portion of their wages to avoid having masses of citizens over the age of 65 becoming homeless.

What remedies do you think the government will offer to help the elderly out? Do you think this will hurt new graduates by preventing them from landing jobs that will pay for their student loans, along with their housing and transportation?

Default Crisis!!! - 06-29-2008

company are bought out by another company because who have more money have a power, it is easy, if you have a little money you can not vote on stock exchange or buy another company, acquation another company or do anything. Goverment is not doing anything for many reason because what can goverment legally do? Company is buying new company because one company don't have a money to operate or have some money but not enought money!

College student are looking for a job, just graduate college student can't find good job or get offert from employer for $50,000 dollar a year.. with is not worth somebody get MBA from Finance and just earn $50,000 a year where CEO of this company earn $36 million dollar?

You guys must kidding me 34 million dollar income for 1 year plus stock bonus and option! this is like more than 35 million dollar.. plus those folks will pay about 28% tax...CEO will not pay 39% as Corporation paying because he will hire good tax lawyers! and don't have to pay a lot of tax
