Default Pawn Shops - 06-20-2008

I am lucky, in that I have never been so desperate for cash that I have needed to use a pawn shop. Has anyone here? If so, was it the sort of shady shop you see on TV, or just a legitimate business?

I have had to use pawn shops before. None of them were shady, we were pretty picky of where we went. We don't have to use them anymore, thank goodness.

I used a pawn shop a long time ago. I don't think I'll ever use a pawn shop again. Why do that when you've got ebay? Granted you don't get money right away, but you'll be more likely to actually get *something* than from whatever a pawn shop might give you.

Pawn shop legitimate business? are you kidding me? you wish to open or buy product from pawn shop? it a stolen items and I don't think is legitimate, if you really wish to buy someone stolen items you are welcome but if police officer will knock on your door some day and ask to give back what you purchase well.. you will have a lot of problems then

See, that's the stereotype of pawn shops that I was talking about. I've known legitimate pawn shop owners in my day, who cooperate with police and everything. Reputations can often be wrong.
