When I was young I have made some stupid mistakes because I have not pay for my payment. I have had a car take away and some bills that went through collections and I have not pay for those bills.I have all my collection bills paid off now but still appear on my credit report collection agency. What should I do now to fix my credit history and apply for best credit card. I'm just curious where would be the best place to look for a credit card and i don't know if i should try for a secured or unsecured? With is better for me now? Just looking for some info on what i need to do to get started and where would be the best sites to try.

I will start by removing all your negative inquires from your credit report and then apply for secured credit card Advanta and bank of america have good secured credit card. Also do you know that you can hire proffesional lawyer that can " save you" thousand of dollars a year in interest rates on your home mortgage.. lol.. don't get this ads seriously.. lawyer will never fix your credit score, you need to work on your credit score!
when I was young I uses not to pay bill because I have lost my job and I was not have any money to pay my monthly bill, it was hard to find good job and I know how you feel without a job! If you want to get credit card first what you have to do is improve your credit score and then check your fico score, don't waste money by checking your fako first because is much cheaper.. remove inquires and late payment and then apply for prime credit card!
your credit score is fair.. not even good because good credit score are score than have 700 fico credit score! so with fair credit score you pretty much are only allow to get sub-prime credit card with high interest rates and lower credit limit! I don't know if this is good but you should try to get secured credit card don't apply for pre-paid credit card, I know that only bank of America notify all 3 credit report agency that you have credit card and how you pay for your credit card! so you work on your credit score and your credit report!!!
I know that there may be other secured credit card on market but I am not aware of them I heard that advanta and chase have good secured credit card but I was never on their web site checking for secured credit card!

I will apply first for secured credit card from Advanta, Bank of America and then remove all inquires and late payment from your credit report and then apply for another credit card but prime credit card, your credit score should be back to 700 level and you should receive prime credit card from major bank issuer!
