Time to get a credit card

How long after applying for a credit card should I receive it? I have apply for bank of America Credit card . The last time I have apply for American Express credit card it only took about 4 days but I know this will take longer as it is not a local card. What should I do to speed up my credit card process?

If you have existed relationship with this credit card company you should receive your new credit card with 5 business day but you also may ask credit card company to expedite your process and you will receive your credit card in the next business day those expedite process must be made before applying for credit card and also once you receive your credit card ask to increase your credit card limit and this will boost your credit score!!!

the reason I say increase your credit limit because debt-credit utilization ratio is lower! as as you know debt-utilization is 15% of your fico credit score!!

its all depend how quickly American Express will process your credit card application in order to process your credit card application American Express need to review your application by human not computer.. it mean you have file for application online and get decision, approved for $5,000 dollar it only mean that you have been approved but your credit score was not touch yet.. until creditor put your approval notice to computer and review your credit score( I know that its appear on credit report and it is hard inquire) but in American Express system it not appear yet.. as I say until Amex check your credit, so after Amex check your credit you will receive credit card with 3 business day

So you may thing how do I know that I have working in American Express Credit department for 23 years working for Corporate America and I have check thousands of reports and I know exactly how this work!!

it all depend on how quickly AMerican Express will process your request, once Amex verify all your data( include income) then Amex will send you credit card it take like 5 business day you may request to expedite credit card process but request is not guarantee!

Btw: have you heard about AMex new income verification process. probably all credit card company will verify income to new and existed card holder.. credit card company will verify income to prevent fraud and to lower credit card limit on cardholders account... to save money..

I have a friend that is working for American Express Credit Card company in Fraud Department and one friend that working for AMEX in Credit resolution center( credit specialist) and both of my friend tell me how AMEX work:

Here is the scheme how AMex work:

Customer file application online( if by mail it take longer) because customer services rep. need to put those information to computer and it take time to type those information to PC. Once those application is filed it goes to processing system ( checking credit score and credit report) after receiving respond from Credit report agency ( it took few second to do so) it goes to " record division" where all information is stored in secured database include your name last name social security, date of birth, employer name salary , etc.. once those information is store in database it goes to processing system where " plastic" is " created" mean it does to computer and computer generate credit card then those credit card number is copy and then send to credit card holder... it take 5 business day because on the same time thousands of other card holder request credit card and that the reason it take time..
